RespectEd Aotearoa is a charitable trust that works with schools, workplaces and community groups to educate and create open dialogues about sexual harm and healthy relationships. We provide a range of services to help organisations prevent sexual harm and build positive healthy relationships and cultures.

RespectEd Aotearoa was founded by, and continues to work in close collaboration with, Wellington Rape Crisis, Wellington Sexual Abuse HELP Foundation and WellStop.

Meet our leadership team

Fiona McNamara

Chief Executive Officer

Fiona’s career to date has covered sexual violence prevention, gender advocacy and leading and developing organisations in the not-for-profit and arts sectors.

Judy O’Brien

Programme Manager – Community and Organisational Development

Judy is passionate about cultural change and strongly believes in a community responsibility approach to fostering a safe and civil society in New Zealand.

Heather Perry

Youth Programme Manager

Heather comes from managing a Women’s Refuge and prior to that spent ten years working for Family Planning as a Sexual Health Promoter.

Belle Ong

Office Manager

Belle manages the day to day operation of the office and supervises the communications and funding of the organisation. She is a strong advocate of equality and diversity and promotes a safe and healthy relationship within the community.
